Literary Contest World Book Day 2009
Rules of the Competition  
a) Anybody of any nationality may enter as long as they have written a short story, a tale or a poem up to 5 pages long.

b) There is no restriction on the subject matter or events described, which will depend on the involvement and interests of the entrant. You only have to guarantee that the text is your own, that it has not been entered into any other competition, that it is politically correct and that it is not offensive.

Iwith.org cannot be held responsible for the validity of any facts: authors entering their work into the competition are entirely responsible for its authenticity and originality.

c) The books must be sent to Iwith.org by email libros@iwith.org and be accompanied by a note that contains:

- full name of the author and where they are from
- outline of the book, maximum 3 lines (150 characters)
- a picture that describes the theme of the book (we recommend JPG 72 dpi)
- contact address and telephone number
- authorisation to publish

Entry of a work into the competition means acceptance of the Creative Commons licence whereby the Iwith.org Foundation may publish the work on the Internet portal www.iwith.org so that it may be downloaded freely by internet users. Within the limits of the competition, authors may select the type of Creative Commons licence on their website.

d) The most frequently downloaded text will be the winner of the competition. Fraudulent use of the download system will be penalised and Iwith.org reserves the right to disqualify any work that they find has been downloaded automatically or in such a way as to falsify the scoring.

Participating texts will begin to be published on the Iwith.org website as from April 1st 2009 and will then be published on Bubok .

The most downloaded text among those submitted will be selected and will be presented with the Premio Sant Jordi 2009 which will consist of the symbolic publication and purchase of the first five hard copies; these will be divided between the author and the iwith.org library.

The book will remain available under the general publication terms and conditions of Bubok. Bubok is an independent organisation and Iwith.org is not responsible for its actions.

SCOPE AND DURATION


1.- The competition is international and ends on Thursday, April 23rd 2009.

2.- Opening day for the receipt of submissions is Monday, February 16th

3.- Final day for receipt of submissions: Monday, March 30th

4.- Voting will end on Wednesday, April 22nd .

5.- On April 1st we start publish the books on the Iwith.org website, as well as we publish a news and thus the voting begins

6.– On April 23rd the prizes will be handed out, the results will be published and a press release issued with the name of the winner.
