“To share to educate” is the supportive e-learning project of
Iwith.org.
The object of the project is to promote the
e-learning for the development of communities, studying and adapting it to meet the real needs of the poor communities of Latin America.
“To share to educate” starts with the training of local teachers in techniques and strategies to work and study in the virtuality.
The supportive e-learning project
avoids endemic training, creating a network of professionals around the world that share solutions and experiences.
“To share to educate” wants to facilitate access to universities for poor students of unfavorable communities.
Iwith.org is working on
getting scholarships to create virtual universities in these regions so that the students can attend any university in the world without having to leave their home land.
The final object of
“To share to educate” is to
avoid the brain-drain of learning and to improve the s
ocial and economic development of the poor regions.
2002-2004 edition of the project was carried out in collaboration with
UOC's
Campus for Peace.
In 2002, when we began to design the
"To share to educate" project , we stablished some
phases of implementation and development. These phases are:
- Pedagogic model validation
- Trainers training
- Formal education for the children
- Replication of this model in other countries.
As a result of this experience, we noticed
NGO's need to make their own online formation with their own working stuffs. It is for this reason that Remei Camps, former director of
Ab·soo programme, designed the
ETM: E-learning Transfer Model.
