The pilot course of the project Absoo has started

The pilot course of the Project (·Ab·soo·)  has started on March 17th at the Instituto Politécnico Santa Ana, one of the educational centers in Santo Domingo participating in this experience. The Kinder El Almendro and the educational center of Girón will also take part of this experience.

The Project (·Ab·soo·) is created with the aim of adapting the technological tools of the e-learning to the local projects which are dedicated in promoting an education of high quality to the children of developing countries. The new information technologies allow a continuous training of the professorship, the interprofessional dialogue between teachers of all over the world for the resolution of common problems, the sensitization of the developped countries..... The objective at long term of the Project (·Ab·soo·) is to allow the access of the students to the worldwide universities without leaving their own country and to try that the experience and know-how acquired will be reinvested in their own country

For this reason, IWith.org Foundation and Campus for Peace from UOC (Universitat Oberta de Catalunya) have reached an agreement in which the Project (·Ab·soo·) will count with the support of the knowledge, the experience and the services of UOC.

The aim of the pilot course is to maximise the training of the local professorship as they will be responsible to promote the best education to these children.

In order to facilite the approach, we have scheduled an initial course with Remei Camps, director of IWith.org Foundation and pedagogue. The course will also take place on March 20th in Adeco - San Ixtán and Jalpatagua (Guatemala)- and on March 24th in Niños y Niñas de la Sierra IAP - Jalpan (Mexico)-.
