The Catalan Association of the Blind and Partially Sighted (ACCDV): one of the First Beneficiaries of the Ashekor-Iwith.org grants

In this article we give you the example of the Catalan Association of the Blind and Partially Sighted (ACCDV), one of the first beneficiaries of  the Ashkenor-Iwith.org “ Grant Fund for Web Projects 2007”. From now on, thanks to the Ab-Core Platform, you can have an up to date website fit for your needs and objectives.

In the Catalan Association of the Blind and Partially Sighted (ACCDV) their aim is to help blind and partially sighted people improve their quality of life and become more integrated within the community.

In Catalonia there are at present 10,000 blind people and more than 200,000 with only partial sight. These people suffer numerous problems because of their disability and as a result of the circumstances in which they were affected. It is not the same being born blind, as becoming blind or partially sighted as an adult. That being so, an introduction to the internet must bear in mind these differences.

By September they hope to have completed their web page and will have a public launch. You can be sure of an invitation.

Find out more about their project!
