A success for the first Environmental Communication Congress!

The 26 and February 27 were two days highlighting the possibility of establishing a convention respecting the environment, minimal budget and whose message is transmitted through small gestures of participants.

Francesc Gómez al taller de Xarxes Socials
Over 100 people gathered in Girona for training and to exchange assumptions on environmental communication.

The training time of crisis is more than necessary and the environment sector is booming. These are the two main conclusions of the  1r Congrés de Comunicació Ambiental, celebrated on Friday 26th and Saturday, February 27th in Girona. The large participation motivates the team organization to make this event twice a year.

In a context of economic changesl, every opportunity is explored: over 80 participants and nearly 20 speakers made the effort in times of crisis to share their tools and strategies to effectively disseminate environmental initiatives that are taking place in Catalonia and Spain. The congress, held at the House of Culture of Girona, is the first such meeting in Catalan country whose objective was to strengthen the links between entities and institutions and to promote environmental initiatives.

Iwith.org had the privilege of organizing the workshop "What social networks allow us to make good progress." Accompanied by Francesc Gómez of Intervida, known as the author of "El pequeño libro de las redes sociales" (The little book of social networks), we held two workshops with many participants to show the possibilities of social networks by materializing with paper and pencils.
