The 26 and February 27 were two days highlighting the possibility of establishing a convention respecting the environment, minimal budget and whose message is transmitted through small gestures of participants.
10/02/2010 - Despite the crise, the Spanish NGOs are doing well
The private aid and obtaining funds for NGOs are stable and even increased in 2009 despite the crisis. We also note that people are more and more involved in volunteerings. Indeed, the reputation of NGO is sound to: a recent study by the League of NGO for development cooperation has revealed that 86% of Spaniards were convinced of the efficiency and capacity of these associations to improve their beneficiaries' lives.

The mobile phones that we all use and enjoy, without thinking much about the production process, are full of the mineral coltrane. The number of genocides in the Congo that are related to the recovery of coltrane grow every day. It is a shame worldwide where other ecological tragedies of great magnitude should also be added. Nevertheless, more than thirty businesses, the majority of them Western, continue importing minerals from the Congo, regardless of such tragic politics. Easy equation.

09/06/2009 - The main European artistic event for the youth in Girona and Vilanova is getting close
This summer, around 120 young Europeans from 15 different countries will participate in Creativity.cat, Act for Interculturality, which is the main artistic meeting for the youth at a continental level. Neagènia Intercultural, partner of iwith.org, is going to coordinate this meeting, which gathers participants aged from 18 to 30 years, with the aim of encouraging creativity, interculturality and public-spirited participation.

That’s the conclusión we have drawn from our 2009 Literary Contest. Among the authors, there is a girl from Tarragona, Spain, who suffers from muscular dystrophy and who has worked hard to present her story, entirely written through Xarxa Òmnia.

The NGO Memoria Sin Fronteras has set out to collect flash-memories in different models: SD, CF, MC, MS…that are left in our night table. The aim is to classify them, to format them, to full them with contents and to send them to places where the container and its contents can be used instead of throw them away or let them aging in a drawer.
12/02/2009 - Iwith.org ended its particiaption in the TIC and Cooperation of Gijón event with News
The II International Encounter of the TIC for Development Cooperation, Cooperation 2.0, ended this afternoon in Gijon with the shared challenge of pushing a "Development 2.0" where all of the agents (Administration, business and third sector) will actively participate in a coordinated manner, starting with the people destined for help. This was one of the main conclusions that ended the event organized by the CTIC Foundation which united more than a hundred technology agents as well as ones from the Cooperation in Asturias during a span of three days.

Concerned with the lower and lower and less effective international contribution to development the Spanish United Nations Association, ANUE, organized in Barcelona the course ‘Tools for Development: Improving Aid for Africa’ with the purpose of launching a new model of International Contribution to Development that makes the most of the aid given. 15/07/2008 - Felicidades Xarxanet, el portal de información internacional para el tercer sector catalánHappy Birthday Xarxanet, the international information portal for the Third Sector Catalan.
Xarxanet.org provides international information of Catalans NGOs on activities and best practices of associations, through their Castilian, English and French versions. Iwith.org manages subportales Xarxanet.org of Civil Society, a site created by and for civil society, the most visited sections of Xarxanet in June. The number of visits they received shows the interest that exists in the world of associations, to know best practices and opportunities for international presence in the world.

This 29th of May 2008 on the garage of Palau Robert, the second edition of the Third Sector and New Technologies conferences will take part. They are organized by SISOSCAT and this year are aimed to third sector entities having among their beneficiaries the dropout collectives or on risk to be socially excluded, mainly on Catalonia but also on any place on Earth. Sisoscat works everyday to diminish the digital breach, both by training and donating equipment.

25/06/2007 - We celebrated the first graduating class from Jalpan Institute for Educational Excellence (Mexico).
The last 3rd July, the sixth-grade class from Institute for Educational Excellence in Sierra Gorda de Querétaro (Mexico) was graduated. It all began as a dream of its founder, Abel Montero, who was able to fulfill his dream by means of the strong economic support from Iwith.org and Infantia foundations. Thanks to the support of these foundations, the institute now offers excellent education for children −boys and girls from the region− with outstanding skills for learning, and who have limited economic resources.
